GTS attended the Seminar on Nature-Based Carbon Projects 2025 at UMPSA

Our team, Vaishnira and Izah had the privilege to attend the Seminar on Nature-Based Carbon Projects 2025, hosted by Enggang (Pekan) Sdn Bhd, the proponent of the Pahang Peatland Restoration Project (PPRP), at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), Pekan.

The seminar was more than just an update — it was a platform where government, academia, NGOs, and local communities came together to:

✅ Share transparent progress on peatland restoration

✅ Exchange knowledge and insights under Chatham House Rules

✅ Strengthen partnerships for climate, community, and biodiversity goals

The event marked an important checkpoint in Malaysia’s nature-based climate action, underscoring that restoring ecosystems, protecting biodiversity, and empowering communities can only be achieved through collaboration and trust.

Congratulations to Enggang (Pekan) Sdn Bhd and all partners for driving this vital initiative forward.
