Statement on Impartiality
Global Tunikara’s Leadership Team is committed to upholding impartiality in all validation and verification activities. It holds ultimate responsibility for ensuring that all decisions are taken in full compliance with applicable international standards, GTS internal procedures, and relevant legal or regulatory requirements.
The Leadership Team explicitly recognises that impartiality is a critical component of the credibility and integrity of validation and verification services. It affirms that maintaining independence from commercial, financial, or other pressures that may compromise objectivity is essential for sustaining stakeholder trust.
To this end, Global Tunikara has implemented a robust impartiality framework, including:
- The establishment of an independent Impartiality Committee, composed of internal and external members, tasked with overseeing impartiality-related matters and advising on potential threats.
- Periodic risk assessments, conducted to identify, analyse, and mitigate any factors that may influence impartial judgement or create conflicts of interest.
- Clear conflict-of-interest policies, applicable to all staff, contractors, and associated parties, with mandatory disclosure requirements and regular training.
- Procedures for escalation and review, ensuring that any identified risks to impartiality are promptly addressed and appropriately documented.
This declaration serves not only as a statement of intent but also as a continuous commitment to impartiality in practice, reinforced by an organisational culture of integrity, accountability, and transparency.
GTS continuously reviews and improves its impartiality framework to ensure full compliance with ISO/IEC 17029 and related standards.
